The Porsche 991.2 marked the beginning of a new era, introducing the 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine across the Carrera range. From a powertrain perspective, the only real difference between the Carrera, Carrera S, and GTS models lies in the size of the turbochargers and the corresponding ECU calibration.

The key advantage? All core engine components and supporting hardware remain identical across the range—from the base model with K03 turbos to the GTS with factory K04 units.

Our Stage 3 Package takes full advantage of this by upgrading the smaller K03 turbos to larger K04 units, paired with bespoke 991.2-specific ECU tuning. The result is a dramatic increase in both power and torque, delivering GTS-beating performance with reliability and OEM-like drivability.

If you own a Porsche 991.2 Carrera base model with 380bhp, you can upgrade to our Stage 3 Package by simply replacing the factory K03 turbos with larger K04 units and applying our bespoke Porsche 991.2 GTS ECU calibration. The result? A staggering 560–570bhp, unlocking up to 200bhp over stock — all while retaining OEM drivability and reliability.

Our Porsche 991.2 tuning has been extensively developed in-house using two of our own development cars, tested on our fully enclosed 2000whp hub dyno. Every file is refined to deliver peak performance with complete peace of mind.

This ECU upgrade recalibrates boost pressure, ignition timing, air-fuel ratios, and boost control logic, optimising every element without compromising engine life. Our priority is to enhance performance while preserving engine health and protecting all supporting hardware.

K04 GTS Turbo Upgrade – Porsche 991.2

The K04 GTS turbo upgrade delivers a major leap in performance over the factory K03 turbos found in the base Carrera and Carrera S models. It’s not just about power, the K04 is a superior unit in every respect, offering greater durability, efficiency, and flow capability.

Key Features of the K04 GTS Turbochargers:

• Larger shaft diameter for increased strength

• Enlarged compressor and turbine wheels for higher airflow

• Expanded water jacket for improved cooling

• Upgraded bearing packs for enhanced reliability

• Larger A/R housing to reduce back pressure and increase top-end power

Stage 3 Performance, OEM Integration

When paired with our Genome Design Stage 3 ECU remap, the K04 turbo upgrade transforms the driving experience — producing 560–570bhp with just a hardware swap and remap. No further modifications are required to achieve this GTS-level performance.

Developed in-house from our proven Stage 1 GTS file, this remap was built specifically for the SDI21.2 engine management system used in the 991.2 3.0L Turbo platform. Our engineers have invested thousands of development hours, working exclusively on our own Porsche 991.2 Carrera S and GTS vehicles — ensuring optimal performance without the need for external test cars.
