Porsche 911 991 service schedule
In 2011, the Porsche Carrera 991 was launched, utilising a 3.8l engine. This engine ran until late 2015 when the switch came to the 3.0l twin-turbo engine, which, in this form continued until early 2019. This was the baby brother to the flagship Turbo S model which uses the 3.8l twin turbo charge engine.
Whilst Porsche officially suggests a 20,000 mile and 2-year service schedule for the 991 and 991.2 we would advise more regular servicing. With the nature of this performance car's intended use, we believe your Porsche 991 servicing requirements should be halved to every 10,000 miles or per annum.
This service and maintenance schedule is particularly important if you have tuned your Porsche 991. With Genome Design, you are saving almost 50% on your 991 servicing costs compared to a Porsche service. Whilst this will increase the Porshce 991 service intervals it wont affect costs. By saving almost 50% on your Porsche servicing with Genome Design you are in a great position. We also recommend changing the spark plugs at every 20k service and, if your car is tuned, we would recommend a switch to Motul or Millers race engine oil to keep your car in excellent shape.
